Scene of Excitement

She makes sure to bring out the best emotion in every shot.

Let’s do this the RAW way!

Untouched and unaltered – in short, purely RAW.  No post-processing or any sort of patching (aside from minor cropping here and there.. :) ) were done in the following shots.  I made it so because I want to see if I learned something during this class.

This was taken during the Live Model Shoot conducted by one of the most sought after wedding and fashion photographers in the Philippines – none other than Ms. Pilar Tuason.  As the Editor-In-Chief of Digital Photographer Philippines, they threw a 5th year anniversary celebration at the Bonifacio Global City grounds with free photography classes and talks everywhere for enthusiasts and hobbyists.

Model is Halena (hope I spelled it correctly) and she’s a professional fashion model.  The following shots can significantly attest to that. I bet you can’t tell that the shoot took place only beside TGI Friday’s :P

The Art of Rock Balancing

Rock Balancing is not quite a buzz word in the Philippines, neither you can see it often in public places.  As defined in wikipedia, it is an essential art, discipline, or hobby depending upon the intent of the practitioner in which rocks are balanced on top of one another in various positions; these scenes may then be photographed.

Aside from having this amazing talent, Lyean Inocencio incorporates the importance of planting trees and role of everyone in taking care of our nature through his passion.  And I quote their mission-vision, “WE ARE DOING THIS TO SHARE THE ART OF ROCK BALANCING AND ENVIRONMENTAL ART AMONG US… FOR THIS TO BE RECOGNIZED AS PHILIPPINE PUBLIC ART TO PROMOTE ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS AND LIFE PRESERVATION… TO TEACH OUR PEOPLE TO APPRECIATE LIFE AND WE CAN ONLY ACHIEVE THIS IF ONLY WE FOSTER, PRESERVE AND PROTECT OUR ENVIRONMENT. WE HOPE THAT THIS ART WILL BE OUR FIRST STEP TO TEACH YOUNGER GENERATIONS IN TAKING CARE OF OUR ENVIRONMENT.”
